Westward Home is an interior design studio based in the San Francisco Bay Area and helmed by designer Sasha Lanka. Our passion for design is rooted in the belief that surrounding yourself with beauty at home and work is a very real and often overlooked source of happiness. Our mission is to understand your needs and ideas and translate them into a space you love, that functions just as it should and is a unique reflection of your personal style and history.
Sasha has spent nearly 20 years designing homes, offices, restaurants and hotels across the U.S. Before launching her own firm, she worked for some of the most highly regarded interior designers and architects in the country, including Jeffrey Bilhuber, Scott Mitchell and Charles de Lisle. Sasha now lives in Marin County with her twin daughters.
At the start of 2019, Sasha opened the Westward Home shop in charming Larkspur, California. The store is an opportunity for us to stock a thoughtful and evolving selection of favorite things and to support the incredible artisans we work so closely with on our projects. You’ll notice most of the items in the shop are made by hand or in small factories the old fashioned way. We love telling the stories behind each piece and about the people who make them so that our customers feel a true connection to the things they bring into their homes and use everyday.
